One shared library, organized into groups

Every physical thing you schedule lives in one library, organized into groups you control. Adding a resource takes seconds -- name it, assign its group, set how many uses it supports at once, and pick an icon and color your team will recognize on the manifest. Manage Resource Groups is where you rename, add, or remove the groups themselves, and Reorder lets you drag resources into whatever order makes sense for your team.

What a resource assignment actually configures

Opening a rule on an activity's Resources tab shows three real parts: which resource groups are pooled together, how many units to assign, and the duration those units are held.

Sharing: who else can use a resource while it is held

A fourth setting, Sharing, decides whether two different bookings can even land on the same unit at all. Default allows any booking to share it. Experience locks it to bookings on this same activity. Location locks it to this same location. And Trip locks it to this exact scheduled departure, so a helicopter reserved for one flight never gets split across two.

Packing strategy: how bookings fill interchangeable resources

When more than one resource could take a booking, you decide how they pack. "Fill up each resource" is efficient -- it loads one resource to capacity before opening the next. "Keep groups together" trades some efficiency for guest experience -- the setting for something like a helicopter tour, where splitting a family across two aircraft would be a real problem even with room to spare.
