Setting Up Add-ons & Upsells

About This Course
Add-ons and upsells are one of the fastest ways to raise average spend per guest -- VIP seating, gear rental, a bouquet of roses, anything sold on top of the ticket itself. This lesson covers the three real ways to offer an add-on, real per-choice pricing, per-language translation, and proof that these add-ons genuinely surface to guests at checkout.

Three ways to offer an add-on

Every add-on is grouped by who's charged and when. "Once for the activity" is a single flat charge no matter the headcount. "Each guest chooses" bills per guest, summed at the end. "Per guest, chosen once" charges every eligible guest the same choice, decided once for the whole group. Moving an add-on between these is just a drag -- pick up the card, drop it in a different group, and its whole pricing behavior changes with it.

Real per-choice pricing

Open any add-on and its real shape shows up. One add-on can hold several priced choices, each with its own direction -- Increase, Decrease, Set to, or No charge -- and its own flat dollar amount or percentage. Add a choice, reorder it, or delete one that's never sold, all inline.

Availability and the live party diagram

Availability is two questions that decide how a charge actually lands on a party: who decides -- does each guest opt in individually, or is it one call for the whole group -- and if it's one group call, one flat charge total or multiplied per guest. A live sample party updates as you choose, showing exactly which guests get charged and for how much.

Languages and the archive

If your account sells in more than one language, an Editing language toggle appears right in the drawer -- title, description, and choice labels each get their own translation. Stop selling an add-on and Archive tucks it out of the way instead of deleting it, in case you bring it back.

Add-ons at checkout

These add-ons show up at checkout too. Right after contact info, a real Upgrade Options step shows the exact add-ons configured on the tab, and picking one updates the cart total immediately, before payment.

Next steps

Open your own activity's Add-ons and Upsells tab and try dragging a card between groups, or book a demo if you want a walkthrough on your own account.
